MEET OUR EXECUTIVE BOARD
Our Executive Board is made up of professional locals in the Fort Worth area who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children, youth, and young adults.
Lori Atkins Williamson, President (she/her/hers)
Lori Atkins, MD, Creator of BBYC, Physician at Fenom Women's Care,
Lori founded BBYC to create a community of service. The studio will embody the spirit of accountability, structure, and freedom. She chose this to be a nonprofit so she can start to serve the greater mission of providing tools of yoga in the community that serves children to prevent suicide.
Lauren Sartore-Lewkowicz (she/her/hers)
M.Ed, Board Certified Behaviorist (BCBA), Credentialed Education Specialist (ESC), Experienced Yoga Teacher (E-RYT)
Brought to her mat as a teenager to work through grief and develop a mindfulness practice, Lauren Lewkowicz fell in love with the practice of yoga and what it had to offer. Yoga remained a dedicated part of her journey through college, graduate school and multiple life transitions as she explored various methodologies; from Bikram to Restorative to Power. In 2016, Lauren found her way from yoga student to yoga teacher in Fort Worth, TX. Shortly thereafter, she was honored to be part of teacher training teams as well as studio development and leadership. Off the mat, Lauren supports schools, families and small businesses to develop systematic, mindful change as a Board Certified Behaviorist and a momma to two littles.
Kate Murphy (she/her/hers)
Founder & Owner of Nanda Yoga, Fort Worth’s Kids Yoga Community
Kate has a degree in Early Childhood Education from UT Austin and she was a Certified Child Life Specialist at Cook Children's Medical Center for 12 years. She began teaching kid's yoga in 2008 and in 2019 she opened Fort Worth’s first kid's yoga studio, Nanda Yoga, where they teach children aged 6 weeks to 12 years to play yoga. Their mission is to help create kind, authentic, and resilient kid's one yoga pose at a time. Nanda Yoga also has yoga programs in over 20 local schools and community spaces. When Kate is not teaching yoga she is playing outside with her sweet family and enjoying a morning of Pickleball.
Robin Smith (she/her/hers)
500 Hour Yoga Teacher, Certified Mindfulness Teacher,
Trauma Informed Training
Robin has been practicing and studying yoga and mediations since her childhood. Her mom introduced her to meditation when she was about 8 years old. She started teaching mindfulness and yoga in 2003. It has become part of who she is. The community that yoga attracts is one of inclusion and Robin is drawn to that aspect. She loves teaching because it gives her the opportunity to lead students in the experience of connecting to themselves and the community which is key to healing, thriving, and compassion. A fun fact about Robin is that in the early '90s, she DJed in a nightclub part-time. She is a bereaved mom and proud grandmother to a happy toddler. Robin works as a Legal Assistant for a local firm and as the owner of Audacious Life, where she teaches mindfulness and fitness.
